I love this picture Robin Ball took last week of one of the gold straw cubes in the Library at Lisnavagh….
These flowers are a fabulous yellow – unsurprising as they are a relative of the sunflower but better known as straw flowers and much adorned on 1950’s hats!
I worked with these echinops (globe thistles) in amongst other thistles and blue wildflowers a few years back, but isolating them and giving them space brings them to a new level…. what do they remind you of: The solar sysytem? Micro organisms? Your granny’s garden? The shadows are awesome too…
